Thread regarding BP PLC layoffs

Reminder

I told you last year that bpx was going to get cleaned out and brought back to Houston. Many of you doubted me. We aren't even finished with Q1 yet and we are gearing up for round two of layoffs. Mid managers and the Sandridge OK clique are up for consideration. They are seen as the reason for many current issues. We have an HR complaint database that is finally being considered. This is the right move. It's been needed for a while and it keeps getting ignored.

If you're reading this and think you are untouchable because of your connections get ready for some humble pie.

Question for you, "Why do you think DL left the way he did. He knew what was coming."

I've been on the phone with several other HR Reps from other companies and things are about to get dark.

Halfway through Q3 and bpx is still not moving to Houston btw. Haven’t been “cleaned out” and have yet to get dark. Only brighter. And the open roles were for the already disclosed jv dissolution, not a pump and dump. Just came back to say, I told you so & you were wrong last year too.

DL acted like his mentor BL. A yes man cashing those checks but then his protection was no more

So for the non-BPX folks, for clarity, what really was the main reason DL left?

I think this is why I have a hard time believing this poster (don’t get me wrong I’d really like to) is because of the comment below. Everyone at BPX knows why DL is no longer employed so it is hard to believe the rest when the most obvious thing is wrong.

DL didn't leave. He was forced out for unethical behavior. This is not common knowledge, but it's not a secret. It was just kept a bit quiet since BP had just lost their CEO, as well, also under bad circumstances. Looked bad. Was bad.

@r5+1jm8qjs47 Wrong. The reason(s) for the new roles has been semi-released and would be obvious to you, if you were actually in the know. You are projecting and stating those projections as fact.

That’s classic bp. Increase headcount right before layoffs, so your final number of employees isn’t too low. (they set reduction targets by percent.)

Bpx just posted like 15 new jobs today. You sure about those layoffs?

Since you are posting about bpx, you must live in USA. I don't think its that healthy posting on a layoff forum in the middle of the night.
