The store i work at currently Mason city #1 made money last quarter for the first time in several years. Just have to wait and see what direction corporate goes in as far as stores go.

@dr I know a retail analyst and economist who works for the local university who says Hy-Vee has increased its market share in some key markets, specifically Wisconsin and the Quad Cities. They could probably stand to lose some of those dog stores that haven't made money in decades, though.
I have heard from a vendor that there's rumors of 30 stores closing this year but until they actually announce it I would take it with a grain of salt although I do have a feeling if sales don't turn around for the company soon that stores will close.
Kroger's closing 60. Some small independents in Milwaukee. That's all I've heard.
