@qg lol at anyone fighting against their fellow colleagues because they are in a union and demanding the company share it's successes with the people who make those successes possible. 😂

Folks wanna snipe sideways, vs. finding ways they can find solidarity and demand more fairness from these fat cats in leadership hoarding the value the rest of us create in spite of their sh---y leadership. 😂😂😂

Eradicating the unions would have been a bright spot. Talk about missed opportunities.
I guess there's still time... I hear union members talking about striking again. We could bring in Lowell specifically to head up negotiations.

Lowell ruined this company. Sold off parts including Basking Ridge. Sunk everything into wireless while ignoring wireline. Was a horrible CEO.

@d2 Stock dropped 30% under HV, from high of 62.07 (Dec'19) to 03 Oct 2025, his last day as CEO. How DS "destroyed" the price when you do the math? Go ahead, we'll wait. 😑

@kt... Yeah... I was in those meetings too. You know, the ones where leadership told us to make up and spread stories like this one.
I'm sick of the lying.

We didn’t have any contractors in our area, just some managers that were not used to physical work, and a few who were just total a--holes. I did see a couple guys with a van and a ladder trying to do some cable work, but it didn’t look like it was going too well. I don’t think they could have kept things going.

@g9 Obama did have a hand in the 2016 negotiations. if you run into me in real life I will tell you that he intervened to keep our communication infrastructure operating. This is what any union member will tell you. The truth is that we were in trouble. We didn't know where the scabs were operating from but most of the garages and offices were empty. The call centers were the only places where there was anyone crossing a picket line. Most of us never saw a scab. For most of us, the money was drying up. The company wasn't doing great without us. But, they were getting by. They were hiring temporary out of state contractors to fill in for us. Union or not, these guys were professionals. They could easily and adequately keep the company running. We were very close to the point where VZ could legally hire them as full time replacements for us. We weren't looking good in the media. There was little public support. Union leadership reminded the president of our decades long support for democrats and asked for a favor. It wasn't long before Obama and Lowell had a little sit down. Magically, Lowell came to the table ready to come off his final offer. I have no doubt the president saved us.

When Lowell made his best, final offer in 2016, he sure had us in a corner. No warchest to speak of. Most of us had burned through our savings, family and friends didn't have that much to give us. Verizon was starting to replace management scabs with contractors. I still thank God every day that Obama got him to back down.

Not that I believe he actually said that but if he did and if he's still on the board, then there's something he can still do about it! C'mon Lowell, redeem yourself for the two needless strikes we had to go through.

"Regerts... Yeah, I got 'em" -- Lowell on a hot mic January of 2025. He's had a change of heart. Let's can the PayPal clown who destroyed the stock price in just 10 days and bring back McAdams, for one last try at grateness

If this is a real quote, poor Lowell is clearly suffering from dementia. Everyone remember to say a prayer for him.
