Another kind of weird town hall. Weren’t the numbers for Medidata pretty bad again? Still the same feel-good tone. And that marketing EVP definitely got fired and didn’t “leave the company” lol.
@qa RIP to Glen, but yeah, you should always be aware that billionaires don't have your best interest at heart.
@q7 This is just a reminder that Glen and Tarek sold the company. They aren't blameless.
0.5% here too. It's so so sad seeing what this organization has become vs what it was under Glen's leadership. Even if this is a managed decline, surely they're going to lose a lot of good staff over the next few months.
At some point the current leadership has to take responsibility for the poor performance. Especially when you see how well Veeva are performing.
@ht I remember being a young pup and thinking being a middle manager meant making good money- only to learn that middle managers often make less than their reports. Oh, to be young and naive again.
0.5% for me as well. Having the middle managers deal with the fallout of communicating this out to their teams (after getting a measly increase themselves) is really the chef's kiss.
@bb Everyone is at risk of layoff. Unfortunately, it's not exactly easy to get interviews at other companies.
@ad based on previous examples, yeah, you’re probably at risk for a layoff. I’d suggest to start looking.
I also just got a measly 0.5% increase.
@ad your promotion got you a 2% raise?! Just 2%?!
I got a promotion (that I don't want) with a 2% raise. What the actual fu-k? Does this mean I'll get laid off in the next round?
@a7 seems like a functional lay off to me. Require more work, give raises that don't touch inflation, and see who leaves.
ACR raises? Yeah I agree. I got about half a %
It’s something I guess. I’m shocked there hasn’t been a mass layoff yet considering the terrible numbers lately.
Hopefully we don’t hear about another tropical getaway!
