Do what other people do: claim some BS about AI to your manager because they compelled you to. Then they tell their manager. Instant raise at Fiserv....
and then soon enough people realize it's all smoke and mirrors and we have to redo everything worse than ever at record efficiency while losing more clients because all of them are doing the same sh-t with AI. Because it's not a hard skill to take time to learn and that's the point. All of this will guarantee to avoid paying qualified people to do it better...
The goal... pay no increase. Then you'll be motivated to find another job. And finally... hire a friend
Is promotion 8 to 10% increment, 160k technical manager, engineering??
I got a promotion late in a year and due to that they gave no raise the following year. Basically a promotion equals an early raise. Pretty sc-mmy. Raises were only 2% at best.
Less than meets expectations = 0%
Meets expectations and above = 2%.
The only two options are "peanuts" and "nothing".
One way to motivate them is to stop swindling them in various ways such as:
1) forced contractor conversions
2) rigging the ratings system to a bell curve
3) pointless "your voice" and dx surveys with rigged interpretations
How to motivate employees who are moaning about their portfolios being 70% down?
