Thread regarding Sears layoffs

Did you get better or worse job after Sears?

Unfortunately, I’m still here in one of the remaining stores. I was even thinking about going back to college, if I could. It might be the best option, but I don’t believe I will succeed. The jobs I’ve applied for aren’t much better than the one I have right now, so I’m wondering how many other people managed to find better alternatives after they left Sears?

The LP fantasy stories were entertaining in the beginning. Now they’re just annoying.

I was offered and accepted a position with the state attorney generals office after working in sears LP. We uncovered a Mexican cartel trafficking narcotics through our restrooms. We turned over our findings to the AG's office and assisted in the prosecution.

Nothing beats working for Sears Home Services. Forget it. We have it made.

@pxn I also work at Amazon, work the same shifts as you, and yes we are treated well. The horror stories are being driven by unions to get more dues paying members.

Yes. I went to work at Amazon. Health insurance benefits including 401k match of 4% day 1. I work four tens Wed-Sat, and can pick up as much OT as I want. Don’t believe the lies being spread by the Unions. We are treated well and are allowed to use the restroom and take breaks,
