All of the useless aholes here - most of you were promoted a year ago and weren't performing then. Expecting more $ and stock is ridiculous. I did not have anyone worthy of stock and only a few worth a part of the minuscule merit budget they flicked out with part of that going back too. People need to take an agnostic look at themselves and are they really worth what they are getting paid. 10-15% of you are going to find out you weren't.
The joke is management is expecting people here to work at ten times speed and keep dumping more work on people with excuse of availability of AI tools but the compensation is pathetic to match for it and on the other side they keep cutting people with the expectation of the remaining folks to pick up the slack
Yeah the comp here really isn’t competitive at all with this albeit trash market. It’s wild how little control direct managers have on rewarding employees for good work. It ends up feeling like gaslighting at the IC level though because you keep hearing stuff like: “you are doing great”, etc… but whenever it comes down to the review cycle time it’s always the same excuses. I’m not sure if it’s just my manager or what but it has become very frustrating. I don’t know how anyone is able to motivate people for good work here.
@px if you as a leader is saying only 10% received in the team its a pathetic compensation model in this company other companies do give good pay hikes and RSUs we are getting short changed here, BAD !!
When is VP approval needed for a merit increase?
As a leader, I can confirm that the budget was pathetic and we couldn't give everyone pay rises. In our org of c. 90 people, 1 got promoted and 9 got pay rises. And none of our leadership team got them either. I'm afraid to say this is very typical of the last few years. I myself have had 1 pay rise in 7 years
Yeah mate got a 20% hike, with promo from g4 to g6
AI catalog team got 4-10% even who joined 8 months back
My whole team was told we get nothing… is this normal?
I don't think any RSUs this round, mostly promos and merit increases for a lucky few

Yeah I think your manager gets it first starting on 4/23 and then it gets sent out to you after they talk to you about it. My manager is late on everything so I’m sure I’ll get it around the 4/30.

SOP is that your "leader" should tell you one way or another. Of course, most leaders won't do that if you got 0, why would they? It is not their fault. Likely, they also got 0.
