Overstock.com will change their name to BedBathAndBeyond.com and is said to be continuing the loyalty program, because why not? After all, what is the loyalty program, if not a preassembled email list?

What did you imagine anyone said Overstock was changing? They bought the rights and are taking on the name, and keeping the mailing list, which is all easy show. I don't know where you see anyone said Overstock is changing anything of substance. I don't see that anywhere in this thread. You just totally made that up in your own mind.
overstock isn't changing anything. they're just going to run another website, just like circuitcity.com and montgomery ward's websites still exist (wards.com). You can even still get a Wards credit card even though the company died in 2001.

anyone else almost feel bad for the overstock employees, especially the customer service people? as soon as the website changes to bedbathandbeyond.com, can you imagine how many emails and calls they're going to get about old returns and pending online orders and still waiting on refunds? 😂😂 poor ba----ds (i say almost feel bad because between store closings and just the last few years in general, we've all dealt with enough that the empathy is gone)
