Thread regarding Optum layoffs

Do it, cowards.

Many of us see this day-to-day. GL28+ with an IQ >99 that's been around has seen this strategy across verticals.

We have entire products/projects, even domains, that game the system. I'd be surprised if an AI initiative did not include this. Go look up Steve's UHG AI 10.0, what was manual human pressure is automated by analyzing text, audio, etc.

@sb if I remember correctly, I received a letter from a law firm stating that I was eligible to be included. You had to work here during a certain range of years, and you had to have 401k contributions directed to a Wells Fargo Target Fund. It was found that WF and UHG were in cahoots (if UHG offered funds for employees to invest in, WF would give UHG their business). It was all pretty slimy, and like I said, what I got in the settlement was probably nothing compared to if I had been in a respectable fund, but the rat ba----ds had to pay.

@n6 no, it didn't fade away. There was a class action lawsuit in which they lost and were required to pay affected employees. I was one of them. Didn't make what I would have earned had the investments funds not been rigged, but then I didn't expect it to.

Wow! This company is involved with so much fraud and nothing is being done. Supposedly DOJ investigation but that's been a while now. They sc--w over everyone in their path for the sake of profit. Even its employees with the so called 401k plans Look it up. There was some lawsuit and the employee won but it slowly faded away. SHAME!

Of course they steal. Medicare pays a certain amount each month for each Medicare advantage member. Those risk adjustments scores are than padded so they can get more money. Example: Morbid obesity- extra 2000 dollars - well what does UHC do for that. Absolutely nothing. They deny any wt loss med or any meaningful treatment so they can continue to get the cash. Every added diagnosis whether you have it or not is extra. That’s a billion dollar scam.

There are ongoing concerns that current leadership across the board at UHG (UHC & Optum) are engaging in practices that result in improper service denials across Medicaid, Medicare, and Commercial plans. Employees are reportedly encouraged to develop increasingly aggressive strategies for denying services. It seems likely that current and former employees with firsthand knowledge may come forward publicly in the future.

Yes, it seems more often than not at these town halls we conveniently run out of time for Q&A.
