Have all the people who are being furloughed been notified or are the calls/emails/whatever still going out? I need to know if I'm safe or if there is still a chance I'll be among the affected 4,000. This is affecting my mental health enough as it is, it would be good to have some clarity on what's going on.

I am from KRK and despite being on leave already I got furloughed. Additionally, the company does not want to pay my vacation hours, which they should. So happy to be leaving.
@1zmc+14C5fwMR is that really true? Can anyone else confirm that voluntary unpaid leave time is separate from furlough time?
If you were approved for 4 weeks of unpaid leave because your work can be deferred 4 weeks that doesn't mean your work can necessarily be deferred 12 weeks.
If you volunteered for 4 weeks of unpaid leave because you knew you had enough savings to survive 4 weeks without pay that doesn't mean you have enough savings to survive that plus 8 more weeks on just unemployment.
Also, the 8 weeks is likely the minimum. Read the email. It says people will "start" to be brought back after 8 weeks. Safer to prepare for being furloughed longer than 8 weeks. Hopefully this furlough doesn't last longer than the 26 weeks per 52 that unemployment pays out. Hopefully you get 5 quarters of work before the next need of unemployment.

Yes. some people took the packages and got furloughed. Some got 100 percent screwed.
A friend of mine in KRK took voluntarily one month off and he was furloughed. So it's total 3 months for him.
Still haven't received any information. Hardly able to focus on my work
Has anyone verified that any of the people who took the packages have , in fact, been furloughed? I took one and I am ok. Doesn't make sense to furlough someone who is already going, and opens up a great chance of being sued! Of course Texas is a right-to-work stste. so.who knows?
a vast number of people that took vol retirement and vol sev were furloughed.

I got my email at 8am CT. I’m not affected because I took a voluntary package. I am a low level, long term worker, btw.
So many good people have been furloughed. The people left will have so much to deal with... and sadly, it may get worse before it gets better.
If someone is furloughed, and they are not brought back, do they get severance?

We just got it. All in my team get affected.
I understood that emails are being sent only to people in the 8 countries affected.
Wish everyone posting here would have a little compassion and empathy towards our friends at Sabre that are affected. These are not times for bullying or being downright hateful. These are our lives and mental health we’re talking about.

The email Tuesday said that each person would get an email today, in the morning, and that email would say furlough or not. I'm in Southlake, and my email came a little after 7 am.
