Intel approaches TSMC for investments or partnership, WSJ reports

Let's be honest... Intel may be asking, but Trump is standing close behind Intel with a giant club called tariffs and access make Nvidia, Apple, and Avago processors.

Once TSMC makes an investment into IFS, and takes over it's leadership... IFS will actually have a chance to succeed. LBT has essentially cleaned out most of the first two levels of Intel's old leadership... which is a start. Now, the next phase is brining in the right talent to run the company.

Better if TSMC does not invest in Intel, as it will soon become a subsidiary of SMIC.

"Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing (TSMC) reiterated that it has not held talks with any company regarding potential investments or partnerships, dismissing a Wall Street Journal report suggesting Intel (NASDAQ:INTC) had approached the chipmaker for support.

TSMC emphasized it has never discussed forming a joint venture, licensing, or transferring technology, echoing previous remarks from Chairman C.C. Wei when asked about a potential partnership with Intel, Taipei Times reported, citing a company statement."

@tz TSMC will bend the knee.

They won't like it and will deny it even as they bend down to kiss the ring.

It's good to be king.

Even Fudzilla says TSMC partnering with Intel appears to be a real thing (this time).

I have no doubt that LBT has been having ongoing discussions with TSMC, much like he has been talking to AAPL and MSFT.

It also appears that AAPL will become a whale packaging customer, and maybe TSLA as well. Glass substrates are starting to look like a gateway product for IFS, prior to introducing them to the harder stuff.

If TSMC had bought the stock then, they'd be thanking LBT now!

TSMC likely will take a large stake in the company.

This will offset what appears to be the partial privatization of Intel by the mega cap tech companies, which will eventually lead to Intel becoming a second source for all of them.

LBT has mentioned what it takes to increase the Intel market cap to $1T, which seems high but possible if he is able to create this new corporate structure.

TSMC can offset the production loss by being one of the owners.

In the end there may be no need to spin off IFS, if 49% of the company ends up owned by the customers (and TSMC, Softbank, US Govt). Even if IFS is split off, it won't mean that much of a difference at that point. It will just enable both parts of the company to maximize market valuation, similar to what happened when other conglomerates were broken up (AT&T, GE, IBM).

TSMC CEO made clarification that TSMC did not talk to Intel on collaboration or donation to Intel.

Intel makes this fake news every month from Feb to September. It is the same ChatGPT written news sent out every month to catch eyes, and disturb the stock market. It is illegal to distribute fake news on purpose.

No, TSMC will not bend the knee. TSMC will slap Intel in the face, and stop make chips for Intel anymore. This will leave Intel with no product. The culture is not to bend the knee, but punch the unfriendly with the teeth.

Intel is telling lie by saying it is US company. It is not different from AMD. They both have chips made by TSMC. Intel is lying to Trump, and lying to the public.

Other company’s will pay tribute but who’s going to tell the government what we all know? Intel can NOT make modern chips!

By raising Intel's stock price any potential buyout of the company is being lost. Nobody will buy Intel when the common Stock is inflated and they have to also take on 51 billion in Intels debt. By chasing it up that's the kiss of death. What it needs to do is file bankruptcy and be issued a new IPO. If lucky this stock will go to the OTC Pink Sheets and eventually be worthless. Most likely they will halt trading and dissolve the current common Stock before issuing the IPO for new investors if it emerges through chapter 11. Chapter 7 means all assets get sold to pay off debt and the rest goes to preferred shareholders and bond holders.

There are 10 other semi companies. Intel can collect 10*5B = 50B by just try to approach them. LOL. Intel has no reputation (or bad reputation) in social media.

Intel is a bully. It can not last long to bully 5B from every company. It is a joke. Why US government can rob money from everyone?

TSMC should not help Intel. This is like help a dying snake by a farmer in winter time, and the snake will bite the farmer after it gets warmer. Intel is NOT a company with moral and integrity.

Intel keeps on backstab TSMC and other semi companies, casuing 100% tariffs. It is a shame to beg for money, yet keep sin back-attacking others.
