Any new announcements we should be aware of?

Well, in another eight hours, we will know whether or not we are safe until after the May 1 Earnings Call.
Digital Velocity hasn’t had a managers’ all hands since December. In 2023 it was a monthly call. Senior leadership hasn’t communicated anything substantive about strategy, goals, or the reorg and have left everyone in limbo.
Look at the frequency and tone of meetings - especially the big meetings. Remember when we used to have large monthly meetings and Connor would spin the big wheel several times during the meeting and give away cash to participants?
Of course, the last big layoff in January 2024 came the week after Converge, so maybe that's not a good metric.
It is what is. When the reaper comes, just sign and take the severance.
Just curious, how do you sense that it's "too quiet" especially given how remote everyone is?
There's a lot of winking and nudging going on to come back into the office. Probably trying to factor in who's participating so they can make cuts. Only my guess as to one of the reasons why.
It's like rolling the dice when I check email the first thing in the morning - Will I get the special invite from HR? This is no way to work or live. I'd almost be relieved to get severance and basically get paid to go find a new job.
What many of us have found is that the current job search is brutal. If you can pay your bills through consulting work, you’re better off than taking a job. Salaries being offered are 25-30% lower than they were a few years ago, hybrid or RTO is mandated, and if relo is offered, it’s nowhere near enough to cover selling a house and moving (not to mention giving up a low interest rate).
It depends on years of service.
"From someone who was laid off a few months ago, it is only 8 weeks of severance. Still looking for a job 12 weeks later."
- What department?

You won’t find a WARN notice for CDW. They pay out severance so they don’t have to deal with that requirement and employees don’t have notice, except from 6am to your special HR call. Technically, access exists until that call, but I’m sure it’s monitored. I didn’t do a thing the day I was laid off except accept the invite and attend the meeting. I didn’t want anyone to be able to claim that I stole files or clients or tried to sabotage anything on my way out.
Has anyone checked WARN notices? by their state or whatever its called?
Somebody posted on another thread that if last year was an indication then whatever might happen would likely be next week. bracing for a rough week of the 15th. I heard from some peers in DV that they are announcing some kind of re-org that the board had to approve so it may be significant. none of it will matter if management can't get their head on straight to agree on strategy and stop being silo'd. i've heard even vp levels can't get along and agree on strategy and ownership so it's gonna be al ong road.
info workers?
Half of the info workers at CDW should be laid off anways..
what do you mean?

I realize others might not feel this way but I would be okay if I were laid off. 12 weeks compensation, 6 months healthcare and PTO payout would be nice in consideration that I am interviewing and more than one offer on the table. I deserve a parting gift for having had to deal with CDW's toxicity.
Nothing in my inbox today.

Almost too quiet.
Get your popcorn ready!!
Last year's big one was on a Thursday.
Does anyone have any solid information?
Made it another day, lol
If past is prologue, 6 am ET is when the emails roll out.
