Thread regarding Qualcomm Inc. layoffs

Any point to reviewing your manager?

Is there any benefit to give your manager a negative review when they are deserving of it? Retaliation comes in many forms and not necessarily easily proven. I usually just decline the negative aka things they can improve on since I don’t see a point. HR is useless to help.

Not worth the time reviewing id--ts. Better spend the time in new jobs and making connections. Remembering the toxic people does more harm than the good. In the process of satisfying your ego don't spoil your health and waste your time.

QC is full of gudda badkaws. Camera team su-kers, too many pichakuntla saales

Do NOT write anything negative about your manager unless you want a package next round. Don’t do it. Nothing will come of it.

OP, this is why Q is sprinting towards mediocrity. Authoritarian regimes are built when reasonable people live in fear of speaking the truth. HR gives exactly zero sh-ts about your toxic manager and your feelings about him/her. Your AR feedback is worthless. You are a “resource” in a prison run by the inmates. It’ll be fine until it’s not. But hurry up and get back to your AR23 feedback, daddy’s waiting

@piq: I think most would disagree. In Q, the more "data points" you collect as a team lead, the more you fail. But. you fail upwards. If you are a real Qualcommer, you know who I am talking about - multiple people - they are all either senior directors or VP's.

A single review wont do anything. A collection of reviews is different. Its like filling a police report for a home bulgary. Chances are they wont catch the thief based on your piece of paper. But with enough data points (people), there is statiscal evidence that something must be done. Unfortunately, its not you who reaps the benefit, but you do get to see him get cut off at some point.

Sh---y managers' manager need to know that info. Inform them about how things can be improved instead of just complaining.

yeah no point. Skip level isn't going to take action based on what the team says. Why risk retaliation? Just leave if you can
