when something is not relevent anymore, even if US ban trading with China, irrelevent does not become relevent

GF is not relevent anymore, no matter who is in charge, Tim B or new CEO Ri Tr.

Throughout the U.S.,(ONLY US) there are 73 new semiconductor fabrication facilities that are planned for construction or are currently under construction.
100+ all around the world and GF still mas....ting with a decade ago 14nm Finfet which got from Samsung.

The pivot in 2018 was necessary, but having Tim B. on board was a disaster. GF isn't a construction site where you can just swap out skilled engineers with cheaper labor from low-cost geos. Oh, and let's not forget Richard T., who should have been shown the door in 2018 instead of being promoted to VP of Design Enablement. Back then, we had a solid design enablement team (though our device team struggled with 7nm). That team was capable of creating innovative solutions, but Richard decided it was a great idea to push out almost everyone in Santa Clara, Malta, and Burlington to hire in Bulgaria, and India. Now, we're left with a skeleton crew of sycophantic senior directors who are more adept at climbing the corporate ladder every 2-3 years than doing any real work. Just like our former CFO who ended up at a dog food company, these folks are stuck here because they can't find a job anywhere else.

The core issues plaguing this company stem from poor management practices. The decision to outsource jobs and treat engineers as mere cost units demonstrates a lack of respect for the talent and dedication of the workforce. Tim B.'s strategy to cut costs at the expense of quality and innovation is leading GF towards a future of mediocrity. Furthermore, the revolving door of executives who either leave or join from unrelated industries highlights the instability and lack of vision within the leadership. If there were stronger ethics and a commitment to truly valuing employees, these problems wouldn't be as rampant. The management needs to address these issues urgently to restore morale and put the company back on a path to success.

If he had strong ethics, he would have never worked for McKenzie prior to coming to GF.

Yup GF is where the other semiconductor companies trash goes. None of them willing came here - they had no other choice. Look at CFO Former Amazon and ford TS. He bailed when he came to his senses and realized what was really up here and our status in the industry . The cfo before him left to work at a dog food company….

Tim B. is the mastermind (if you want to call it that) behind outsourcing GF jobs. Basically, he believes engineers are widgets, if I can hire 3 in India for the price of 1 in US or I can hire 5 in Bulgaria for the price of 1 in the US we should go for it. If he has his way 90% of the company or more would be outsourced to low-cost geos. His low-cost thinking leads to zero differentiation and puts GF as a bottom feeding foundry. He is one of the key reasons GF has little to no differentiation and the future doesn't look very bright for the company. Then you have blind minions like RT in Enablement who are braindead and just follow his lead without thinking. This is what happens when you take a bean counter with zero technical knowledge and have them pull the strings to the CEO puppet. It appears every previously rejected/fired exec ends up at GF as part of the SLT.

He is demanding on the job that s for sure. But no he isn’t “crooked”, quite the contrary, all who have met him recognize he is driven by strong ethics.

Now on the picture - he takes a selfie with a group of Malaysia employees who seem to enjoy it, what s the big deal?
Nothing to do with US taxpayer money which will be spent on US soil when we eventually expand our fabs there..
