IBM do not need TSS in new strategy so why not to sold them ? I believe this is right decision to sold TSS and focus on Cloud and AI.I hope it is true

You asked “is this legal”. Unfortunately Yes it is legal. Dell, Lenovo, and HP have done the same thing to lower costs, along with a few independent operators. Some companies treat their CE’s as independent contractors, while some hire the legacy CE’s as new hires. Either way it’s definitely a cost take out

So IF IBM sold TSS to a Costa Rica company, will IBM have an ownership of this company, or will IBM take a OT payment, and outsource TSS services out to them via a long term contract? The next question is would the new company treat TSS folks as new hires, or will they go the independent contractor route with them. Either way you can see where IBM is heading and it’s towards lower costs (by hook or by crook) and away from HW

The TSS positions are being shipped to Costa Rica and Latin America. The jobs are not being eliminated., it is being replaced. Is that legal?

@pbo+156Q0HQP If you're not familiar with TSS, your input is not germane to the thread. I would not be surprised if it they're selling it off however. Gut cloud, WH, AI, CTO, Garage and Offering. Piss off IBM.

Selling off may actually be a good things. The new company may find it strategic and actually take care of the people and the business

This was not public so I call BS. There is no need to spread rumors during this time. Enough have suffered.
