Thread regarding CVS layoffs

Dear Colleagues

To my colleagues who were let go. I hope you get to read this. I was deeply sorry to hear about the layoffs, and my heart goes out to each of you who were affected. Some of the individuals I knew personally were truly invaluable, and the news has hit me and my team incredibly hard. It’s difficult to put into words how much you all meant to us—not only as colleagues but as friends and professionals we greatly admired.

We are all hoping and praying that you will quickly find a new and even better opportunity that matches the incredible talent and dedication you brought to our company. I truly hope this transition doesn’t impact you too deeply on a personal or financial level.

Please know that we are all thinking of you during this difficult time, and we share in the sadness and frustration over this situation. Your contributions will never be forgotten, and we’re here for you if you need anything.

@pbn+1uOVOgTC innaccurate. The three in my group had good reviews and no writeups. 3 or above. Stop victim blaming with something that isn't even real.

I know mine was NOT performance related. I was put into a well paid boutique position because I was a high performer that got things done.
I think mine was related to that. Ambiguous role, higher pay, and age. My years here and contributions didn't mean anything in the end.

What kind of question is that? Were these performance related layoffs? There were 5000 layoffs last year and evidently around 3000 this year. Many from last year were highly rated, top performers that likely were more senior and therefore more highly compensated and had more PTO.

Yes they are all performance related layoffs. Those who received 2 or below were all canned.

Thank you for your message. The severance is generous and I'll land on my feet.
