I have pretty solid intel that next layoff is happening Monday March 23rd. People have already started receiving meeting invitations. All the best everyone!

@tn I got the same
@vv you misunderstood me- 25% from the Target.
@tn the best engineers at Ansys get much less than that usually.
@q6 wdym!!? Seems like you haven't dealt with the IT-jeets from the Pune office..
@tn this feels really heavy right now, but it won’t stay like this forever. Things will get better, even if it doesn’t feel like it yet.
You’re going through a rough patch, not a permanent situation. You’ll come out of this, and somewhere much better.
@th still no offer for us at Synopsys - maybe Ansys guy already have something?. I am feeling horrible, I cried all night. Had several months of sleepless nights following the bonus - my individual coefficient was 25% - and that was so shocking and unfair. I felt extremely humiliated, taken for granted. I cannot wait to cut all ties with Synopsys. I do not want again to experience someting like that. Their “pay for performance”.
@q9 Sorry to hear that, hope you’re holding up okay. If you don’t mind me asking, how did the severance package look in Germany?
@s3 Thanks brother. There is some life after Synopsys. And this Synopsys has nothings to do with the one I joined in 2016. I will survive for sure 🤗
@r4 sorry to know that this happened to you brother, best wishes for your future endeavours
@qz TPG - after almost 10 years. But I am okay about it. Was no longer fun. besides, this company has humiliated me in December with extremely low bonus that absolutely did not coresponds to my performance in 2025. I am so glad that is over - will try with a lawyer to extract as much as money as possible.
@q9 which org?
i was laid off today. I worked in Munich
@q5 Sorry to hear- ANSYS IT was always top notch- best of luck
Just laid off - Ansys IT I&O
@ph in india , they march you out, unfortunately it's the standard there
So they march you out on the spot, or do you have a few days to pack stuff up and bid colleagues adieu?
Also when is the last day on insurance?
@pb As part of the IT team during this migration, I receivd the meeting invite as well. The team will be in a tough spot. Good luck.
Can confirm I got a meeting invite today as a member of the IT team. We're in the middle of a mass laptop migration, and there are many other IT things to be done. So it should tell you, nobody is safe.
Tell tale sign of disasters
1) Manager asks you to come to office
2) If HR joins the meeting

1 guy got axed from team (pae)
Laid off in finance today from ANSYS
To all who are questioning authenticity of this info, let me tell you - one of the Ansys IT teams has received a meeting invite for Monday with some IT executive director. And looks like entire team is being axed.
So for those of you who haven’t received any such meeting invitation, you are safe for now.
There's no layoff it's all BS, I guess april 1 came early this year, thanks @OP for the s h i t s and giggles

Dear gentle reader, indeed I too have it on very good authority that the rif insanity starts bright and early Monday morning. It would appear that it isn't even about capability or keeping the best and brightest just a bean counter and his spreadsheet. I have heard that operational management don't even know who the unlucky, or lucky gentlefolk depending on you point of view, are on the rif list. Yet these same leaders are being told to prepare for a smooth transition. It appears to this author that it takes a special kind of stupid to expect any kind of preparation of anything when you you have no idea of the teams effected. It is unclear to this author who will fair better at the end of next week, those who won't complete this years season or those who survive next week to playout the rest of the seasons endless succession of masquerade ba--s planed by what seems to be a particularly unusually cruel queen! Take care gentle reader and best of luck
@OP let us in on the scoop , and what is this nonsense about manic Mondays , is ShankerJit back on Cocahina again ?
If they are really doing it every week, one must wonder if they intend to discourage the entire company so people just leave.
This is just crazy and unethically cruel. Layoffs are always awful, but this would make it so much more destructive to the ongoing operation of this company after this is done. What future employee could ever trust them again?
Excellent news. I have also heard that they plan on doing it on a weekly basis. Manic Mondays they're calling it internally up in the C-Suite.
Are there specific region impacted in this layoff round?
