Office Supplies

Is it just my building, or is it Dell policy that we have to buy our own office supplies?

Many of these people can’t use a pen and paper as they never learned how to write and use chat GPT to learn how to tie their shoes . But man they can log into Reddit and rage about life.

All I need is Wi-Fi for the magic to happen. Who are these delicate flowers still begging for office supplies?

For my building we're lucky if there's running water and toilet paper.

Dell is a low budget outfit. Imagine the cost cutting you do not see.

do not eat or drink the food on campus.

Tissues, cleaning supplies? Very basic stuff. More important than ever since people are feeling pressured to come and do a swipe even when sick.
I wonder if MD makes a Staples run a couple of times a month?

@ak LOL! Deciphering commands, codes and math. Good one! Let's be honest - none of the technology developed by Dell requires any of this. You're probably an EMC'er which would make sense. If you're in Dell, this was a good joke.

You're definitely Australian.

If you can’t afford a pen, you’re either:

  1. At the wrong company
  2. Being paid in “exposure”
  3. About to be asked to work late without overtime

You might be too old for this job if you’re clinging to your colored pencils and highlighters while asking where the Elmer’s glue went.

You might be too old for this job if you ask where the stapler is… and everyone else asks what a stapler is.

It’s the digital age, gramps! We’ve moved on from spirals and staplers. Newsflash: the hole punch retired sometime around the dial-up internet era. If you need a tin of paper clips you might be too old for this job.

Pens, pencils, paper, tissues, or anything else or no longer items that Feel supplies. Read the RTO email. It says we are all responsible for our own office supplies. Companies should provide those necessities. Such a joke.

I once worked for a company that made you ask the receptionist for a fork or spoon. Then they went to sporks. One per day. And back to school time, they locked the office supply room.

Office supplies? You need a network connection and a system. What else could you possibly need, pen and paper, lol?

@OP there should be a designated contact at your site for office supplies. IME it's an admin assigned to a mid or high level exec (Jr VP or higher). Find them and ask for what you need.
