The Q3 company meeting was held on Weds, 9/13. Since that meeting/week, and accelerating since 10/1, employee engagement, work, etc. has been shutting down, as everyone has gone into "wait for it" mode. Very little is getting done, absolutely no sales pipeline activity is happening, as everyone is checked out. Attitudes, motivation and morale are at epic, all-time lows.
If the deal is delayed indefinitely, this is only going to continue, and get worse, as employees simply collect paychecks, while "waiting for it". If the deal falls through, after some indefinite period of "waiting for it", it will only be worse.
Whether it's going to be VMware continuing on (if it falls through), or Broadcom (after a delay), does management truly realize the sh*tshow they are going to have on their hands? The business is going to be irreparably damaged, and the ramp up back to "business as usual" is going to very slow and painful.
Do they get it? Do they care?
