@2yvg+1rJd4MBi I don't think they would need to post warns for other states, although workers in other states have been heavily affected too. Warn triggers at several hundred people per site and for other states and remote employees they aren't counted in warn since each site is either too small or they classify each remote employee's home as a work site so no warn required since it's only 1 layoff per "site" but there's hundreds of "sites"
Totally had enough of all the uncertainty. I imagine the redundancy package is a letdown too.
Which roles exactly can TU afford to lose in the UK?
Just watched the All Hands. Hard to stomach all the smiling & laughing when they are making hundreds of people redundant in the interest in cost, that ultimately means poorer service.
Started an onlyfans page. Making bank now.
A very short summary of what the panel was about: how to say we move all these jobs to low cost countries to save money without saying that we want to save money.
I heard around 800-900 layoffs in US to date. Crazy part is that there only less than 4000 positions in the US and India now has 8000+ employees. Also mass hiring of contractors allows them to quickly shift to full time employment.
As per my knowledge, there are 640 folks laid off as of now in IL. Anyone knows how many folks laid off in other states in US? What is total count in US? If my calculation is correct, are they going to cut 1300-640=660 more jobs? I do not see WARN notices for other states.
Neustar is digesting TU from the inside-out. Wouldn't surprise me when Venkat is named CEO, the first thing he does is rename the company Neustar.
It would make sense that they'd wait until downtown property values are at an all time low. I'm confident they can find some conflict-of-interest entities to remodel/rebrand 555 several more times before then, too. Oh - but everything's great - buy more stock!
Goodbye TU. Looking forward to the name changing. The less reminders, the better.
@eaw+1rJd4MBi I heard a rumor they eventually plan to sell 555. Not sure how true it is but with everything that’s happened I wouldn’t be surprised.
@aia+1rJd4MBi - If they have it the way they want it, it would be 100%. But I think anything customer facing that is hosting apps, will stay US based until the next contract comes up. Otherwise, I would actually say 90-95% in the GCCs.
What I would love to know is they pushed for return to office (at least in Chicago) so they can get the tax break back. I'd LOVE to know what they are going to do w/ all that open space now. Cause there is so much open space downtown, no one is leasing unless it's REALLY good pricing.
Anyone know what % this is now that has moved to the GCC? I heard the goal was 80%...best to start looking for a new job now if you weren't part of this last round.
Too busy looking for a new job to listen to those wa-kers. I’m embarrassed to have TU on my CV. I’ll get hired somewhere out of pure pity.
Post from TheLayoff.com
At the all hands for UK today we were told that some roles in the UK will be moved to the GCC. Apparently near the end of April we’ll find out how many people are affected
@ovw+1rJd4MBi Seemingly only when the previous occupier of the slot was canned
Any sense of when the next round is happening?
How do you know there are redundancies in the UK? Thanks
The sc-mbags just told the UK they’ll be redundancies happening soon. GCC’s will run this company to the ground
Yes this is for anyone up on that stage: Do any of you all have any shame, y/n?
Didn't attend the meeting. I have more important things to do, like look for another job.
So at what point does the job moving overseas become discrimination?
I wonder if anyone else caught on when chris said that layoffs done in US, and "it's mostly done overall", meaning other regions will suffer still. Rip canada and callcredit
Unbelievable. This update didn’t make me feel better about the org. It made me more furious.
Bunch of clowns
Congratulations to the 1200 associates that got a promotion!!
Were any of them in the US?
Pure evil is what they are! shamelessly justifying moving US jobs to overseas coz they need cheap labour.
The Villain crew. :D I always wondered how super villains get their goons. Transunion actually taught me something.
The company is on fire, but everything is just fine, in fact, this is a good thing for us. :/
All the brainwashing and gaslighting you could ever need for the year... all in one meeting!
We're not laying off because the business is doing badly. We just want more money and we are more than happy to let you poors suffer so we can have that. That's what I got out of this meeting and it definitely feels worse than if the layoffs were related to poor performance.
Why is there a villain crew?
