@orr+1oeAN2uS Do not go solely based on what your leads say. In 2015, they told my team that no one will be impacted as our team was one of the 'important' ones. It turned out that there was a 15% reduction in my team as well.

My manager has already told us that our group is safe. If they want you to stay, they would have told you already. One lessons learned from the previous layoffs is that they didn't tell key folks that they were safe. So those key folks left and they were left with folks they wanted to layoff, but now can't. So now, they are more proactive in telling "keepers" that they are safe.
I have been "unofficially" notified to look outside, and wait for package before jumping
I think no one knows yet. Maybe in mid September there will be some clues.
Some managers/directors have already advised folks they trust to start looking afew weeks ago. Not are of it is because they know or suspect their team is on the list.
Already known and have the list. If you don’t know clearly you are out of the circle.
