The ELT and MW believe that they are saving the company. They aren't concerned for your well being in the least. I sure that they are going to have a Merry Xmas and all are looking forward to the new year given all that bonus money and stock options coming their way.
He doesn't care and neither do I. Why should I, I still have a good, well-paying job and plenty of savings. You guys worry too much.

Primary focus: Not looking happy or smiling too much. Becoming a BFF to whoever will be in charge of the "Drill Baby Drill" program.
Prior to recent events, if day he doesn't care one iota about anything but his payout.
Now, he wants his payout and will have to spend a little in chevron cash on security to make sure he doesn't get Luigied.
Small price to pay, I'm sure.
MW is a corporate politician. He only cares about one thing.....and it's not the company or its employees.
Do I think MW cares about laying off thousands and wrecking people’s lives? Nope.
Power corrupts even good people over time. Perhaps he wasn’t like this when he began his career. After years as an executive incentivized by performing actions highly detrimental to the general employee population, while lining his own pockets with astronomical figures, I have come to the conclusion that he may be a very rich man, but he is morally bankrupt. And so, no, I don’t think MW loses any sleep about us.
He has done a great job of ruining a once great company.
