Thread regarding Whole Foods Market Inc. layoffs

Alright Everyone! We're at $28.52 a share.

Hope everyone's excited about this. Just have to say a warm and heartfelt 'THANKS' to all of the E-Team, for your innovations, and to the Regional Team, the presidents vice presidents coordinators assistant coordinators leadership networks conscious capitalists, without YOU this wouldn't have been possible.

Looks we're on a great path, looking forward to seeing how low our stock price can get to once we start opening those 365 stores (hhmm, any progress on those stores by the way?), and continue to ignore our competitors and stop carrying product that our competitors now carry, because we are just so much better than them. Funny thing that our customers keep disappearing. Oh well, GREAT JOB GUYS!!

They're like Thelma and Louise, out of time and gunning it off a cliff. It's been a great ride now the final spending binge begins, all charged to the company credit card to be paid with the money borrowed from bond investors. The stock ticks up a bit, then falls back... 2 steps backward, one step forward until....down the well we go.

No worries. You got it right, there are a few trolls, but they're mismanagement. I pay no mind to them at all.

@4weh- Heh, my bad. This site has slowed a bit but we still het the occasional bored troll or corporate shill. I thought you might be of the latter category.

By the way, the acceptance speech may begin with "pay no mind to the man behind the curtain..."

Flfallguy, I was being sarcastic. Sorry it wasn't obvious! Now stop with your reasoning and let's write that acceptance speech for Mackey for when wfm shows up on the forbes top 100 places to work for again.

@3uer- so the stock rode a one-day market rally. Big deal. Follow the trend.

Is tribal going on this year? I'd love to see what will be spent on that atrocity if so.

@FFgIRry-dya "Worse, the survey results imply that the vast majority of Whole Foods customers no longer perceive the company as the leader in the quality, organic food category". LOL! Great article. #wholefoodsmarket #traderjoes #TeamWFM

"Who said we didn't lower our prices? Can't you see our stock is at HALF PRICE!"

Effin' Classic!!! Thanks for making me giggle. I smell a buyout in the near future. It's just a matter of time.

I'm loking forward to another sharp drop after earnings are announced. Our stock chart looks like an escalator. Going down. Next stop, the basement.

Note to Produce Dept.: STOP with the pre-pack veggies. We're losing money. Too much spoilage. Customers prefer fresh.

LOL Couldn't have said it better. I bet they blew the entire $1 billion buying stock during December, which is what caused the temporary run-up along with all the Mackey lackeys who still think he's some kind of legend. Plus the "dead cat bounce" effect no doubt....Anyway now the money's probably gone and investors have figured out that this ticker symbol has a huge AVOID spray-painted all over it. Hey, they told investors they were blowing a $1 billion hole in the treasury to buy stock to hand out to themselves and their regional clowns so investors have only themselves to blame for taking the bait.
