Thread regarding General Electric Co. layoffs

How many think we got a fair contract?

Is the raise keeping up with inflation? Is the raise keeping up with this crazy healthcare premium? We keep giving and giving thinking the company will keep the 2 way street open. This is an embarrassment of representation for the individuals who tried to negotiate. Local unions in the area are getting way better contracts to keep up with inflation. This is sad that no one sticks together in this plant anymore. We basically work at a non for profit company I would recon. Oh well at least I know who to trust in here. No One!

@yin+1md0t37i Well said from a former union member who jumped ship to management this union member had the easiest cleanest jobs on the floor.

The company knows how to negotiate, ge sure got them a fair contract. 70% yes, they could have gave a 8% raise and got a 60% yes vote. Ge sees this and is already figuring out a way to low ball the union in 2 years to just get a 55% vote, I'm sure Jerry carney will endorse any b-m deal ge tosses his way. Unions are suppost to endorse contracts, not extensions.
