Hi fourth quarter layoffs!!!!!
After being with COAF for 12 years I got laid off a week after my anniversary. We were busy, OT was being offered, they were even training new hires… Little did we know those five back to back training classes were setup to transition overseas… Then two weeks after I got laid off I get word that they were backfilling 5 specialty funding positions??!!! I’m not sure what upper management (Kevin and his buddies) are doing but you all have caused a huge mess for ppl and their families!!!! And right before the holidays !!!! It’s upsetting because I worked my butt off and stayed committed to a company that just sees us all as a number…

I worked for Capital One for 22 years, just two years shy of being able to retire. I was always a top performer and loyal to my manager and the co. Capital One sent almost all of Auto Refi jobs overseas. This company is heartless and cruel!
Damn. They fire people who worked 12 years for them like that?
This place is just a virtue signaling POS. Rich and the senior leadership only care about their egos and their money. They are shoveling the sh!t as fast as they can to make themselves appear to be a wonderful workplace, caring, all about the employees. Look behind the curtain and you see what it really is. Disgusting. Cry me a fake river Richie!
The scene is Rich’s strategy session 2024. After sharing NPS scores to prime the crowd, Rich presses play on an audio clip of a bought-in rep going above and beyond to save the holidays for a customer who lost her job mid-November. This touching moment of humanity in banking naturally brings Rich to tears.
Now the first big reveal: the customer lost her job because she got laid off by Capital One.
Now the second big reveal: the rep who helped her also lost her job after ending up in the bottom 15% of stack ranking and therefore getting pipped.
She didn’t make it across the canyon. Or maybe the BBs didn’t come to rest, instead spinning out of control and hitting her in the eye.
