Thread regarding SPS Commerce Inc. layoffs

Layoffs around January 2025

I don't know enough about WARN or how Minnesota collects layoff data, but people were let go around January 2025. It's somehow gone unreported.

Jason Schlapkohl, formerly a VP in technology got let go. A lot of the people under him got merged into one technology group now. Most of the UX designers were let go. Some people in customer success are gone too. I couldn't get anyone to give me an actual number though unfortunately.

Also, the C-suite is feckless for not being upfront and lacking empathy in telling those of us still working there about this. They liked using the word "reorg" instead of outright saying how many people got let go. Seems like the company has been avoiding talking about this completely.

@nye I saw on LinkedIn that there were some people from the Training team that were laid off.

@nww Restructuring was the reason given. Some teams combined with middle management positions eliminated. Dunno if individual contributors were laid off as well.

I think 9 people in Minneapolis were laid off. Any idea why?

It looks like there was a smaller layoff round recently in the last month.
