Thread regarding Kyndryl layoffs

Kyndryl has become top heavy

Kyndryl has become top heavy. Each week, some new executive joins to “transform” and bring “thought leadership” while laying off highly technical hands on keyboard skills.

@nv Kyndryl is just morphing into IBM again, the same players (existing execs and newly hired execs) and the same playbook

The main problem with Kyndryl is its model. Many peoples thinking that it come from IBM . No, Kyndryl /IBM GTS/ model poisoned IBM, that is why IBM get rid of this rotten part, and now IBM getting better.
Unfortunately, many of the employees had no choice to stay at IBM after the split, which means they never were there. Now the "Kyndryl" model is suffering losses because customers no longer recognize this as an effective model. Customers no longer need an intermediary between themselves and IT administrators. And more and more customers will understand this in the future. So don't waste your time with such companies. Not only Kyndryl.

The main problem with Kyndryl is the legacy IBM deadwood they inherited. Unfortunately, those execs are embedded in all accounts. Until that deadwood is chopped off, no meaningful change can happen. Also, Kyndryl Consult has been a failure. The "strategy" needs to come from new blood.
