The HR excused me of forging the note. I responded saying HR Karen, I don't like being excused or forging a doctor's note, therefore have your HR manager call my doctor and verify the note. The HR Karen got in a huff about my referring to her as a Karen and told me she was going to have me written up by my manager for it. I talked to my manager before the start of break, and he told me not to worry about it because he's not going to take any orders from a Boeing HR Karen demanding I be written up.

I really think your manager was working with HR against you. They like to play like one is your friend and one an enemy. Old school method.
Start calling them the Karen Department because that's being honest who they really are
HR (in most organizations) is a Mickey Mouse Department.
sue the Karen for s-xual harassment
most of our society finds the Karen vile
maybe we could deport them to India
they should fit right in
You should be written up for not knowing the difference between:
Accused: claim that (someone) has done something wrong.
Excused: release (someone) from a duty or requirement.
Either way, you handled it wrong.
You should have asked for the accusation in writting (via email)
You should have responded in writing with explicit permission to contact your doctor with contact information.
Write to your doctor telling them you have allowed Boeing to contact them for confirmation.
Follow up with HR repeatedly and professionally until they tell you in writting they have confirmed the note.
Report and send the entire email thread to ethics with a cc of your manager.
Do ALL of this without any name calling.
I hate when they excuse me for things. Fight the fight and win! Good luck sir
