They flat out told us the majority of our team would be on transition. Anyone been told something that strong? Granted I don't trust anyone until I have the offer letter in front of me but curious if anyone else has been communicated something similar.

OCTO - hardly a surprise
Yes. I was told by my manager that our org has already started to make decisions and I’m one of the people that will not be retained. I’m a P6, somewhere within OCTO. Personally, I wanted to stay and I’m disappointed. I’ll be fine professionally, but it’s not what I wanted.
Op Under finance.
no leaders should be leaking anything to their teams, unfair on others who are told nothing
Depends on where you are in your interviews with other companies.
Just assume that your role will be eliminated, and prepare for the next chapter in your career. It's a wonderful opportunity to leave and work where there is modern technology.
Isn't a transition a better option than letting go ? You get an extra nearly a year to weather through the coming recession. With that, you can plan in the next 9 months or so, like lining up your new interviews and jobs. Among the 3 options, letting go seems like the worst of all.
Heard this about one group under Finance, indeed. 96% transition for 9 months.
I've been told that everyone in the company is going to be either let go, hired on, or in a transition role.
How do you even delete post on here
Did 'they' tell you that? How awful. I hope it's not true.
To answer your question, no.
Revenue team in Finance (Ops) have been told the same. Majority will be on transition contracts of up to 9 months.
There's still time to delete this useless post.
Come on man, you can't post something like this unless you're gonna say what group it is.
What BU, Role or ORG are you in?
