Thread regarding CenturyLink layoffs

CTL Market Cap

Let’s all congratulate the CEO of CenturyLink for losing over 50% of the company’s market cap in the last three years.

Lumen Technologies (NYSE:LUMN) shares fell 6.0% to $12.5 during Thursday's pre-market session. The company's market cap stands at $12.7 billion.

When they start selling off business units and carve out 20 states to get some cash, you know things are in trouble. Within next 3 years look for the enterprise/national network to be bought by T-Mobile and the remaining fomer Qwest states/Quantum Fiber to be a stand alone again. They have it perfectly situated for a sale. Then the goofy CEO and his L3 minions ride off into the sunset with their golden parachutes.

Actually, that's how corporates quickly sell off something they don't want.
More they sell off, quickly they can benefit from not having copper services.
Copper services are what's dragging down Lumen profits. Once copper is gone, they can finally concentrate on their goals.

I agree. Once Lumen succeeds in eliminating copper plants.
Investors will see the bright side of future growth.

This is too funny. If you think this stock is going somewhere just look at how much was sold by insiders last year. It's public information.

I see too many bloggers saying CTL stock going into the 20s. Same bloggers since 2018. These people appear to be deeply invested in LUMN stock, but it's laughable to keep reading their post's as they continue to speculate over the last 3yrs. Sh*;t got thicker when we almost hit $16, but we gracefully fell back below 12. Face it, LUMN stock is not worth what it's going for today. Dollar Tree DLTR $131, TMobile $110, Verizon is $52, Comcast $51, AT&T $28, LUMN $11-$12

The CEO and it’s incompetent leadership team is what’s dragging this company down. Changing strategy like it’s underwear, keeping poor sales leaders around because they were Level 3 employees. It’s a perpetual magic show and they have run out of tricks. If they don’t continue to win government contracts, this company is bankrupt in short order. Look at their yoy growth by segment. It’s awful! They can’t sustain their dividend much much longer and that will be the end of Lumen as we know it.

25M block trade offered at a steep discount over what the market price was at that moment? whistles Someone knows something.

Too bad other bigger firms already have it locked in. If Lumen has to wait till 2029 too late then.

The stock will soar? You’re delusional! This stock is cr-p and it just goes to show you how cr---y the people running this place are. People hate this company and that’s no secret!

The difference between you and investors are. You are only looking at short-term today's stats.
Investors look at long-term health of the company.
Once TDM traffic is shutdown. The stocks will soar.

Market share isn't something you go by to judge company's success.
Once, if, when FCC let's Incumbents to abandon TDM. The stocks will soar. TDM services is what's dragging down the growth.
2029 is the year when FCC will approve the abandonment of copper plants in general.
