Anyone else at BTC surprised to receive a mid year raise? My supervisor said that I had earned it with my performance and also due to the rising inflation here in India. I thought raises were only in January so this is a nice surprise as a new hire that my salary is increasing already.

@np they do start in June which is why I was told what my raise would be in May. Clearly no raise for you.
@OP this is BS, mid-year raises would come out in June to be effective in July. You did not get a raise.

Nothing new here. Hipos receive mid cycle raises. This is not a secret. Happens in USA As well.

Food for thought:
If EM doubled all Indian salaries this month, that would move them up from 1/10 normal salary to 1/5 normal salary.
Still an insulting amount for a global company to pay employees.
Sounds like you have been identified as a hipo. It is normal for hipos to receive raises twice a year. Welcome to the club! If you aren’t in the club within your first couple of years of being hired you never will be in the club.
