They are sending authorization department offshore. I had a member who needed an emergency auth. was assigned offshore. They never worked on it. I had to have it reassigned onshore and it took an hour to get approval. I cannot tell you how many times offshore has dropped the ball and we onshore have had to pick up the ball and run with it. The biggest thing that pisses me off, is that they are forcing us to train our replacements secretly. They don't tell us that we are training, but we no we are because the questions we get asked are basic training questions that people calling in should already know. They now will have every piece of data needed to cripple America if they ever need to go to war with us. They will have every piece of financial data which includes bank to bank security information for each bank and the data transmission information of each member. They can take that data and wipe out financial institutions with a virus and steal everything possible within one fell swoop of an attack. They have all the hardware, software, files, entry points, and logins. Good luck America. I will be going with another insurance company that keeps my data safe. By the way, HIPAA does not apply to outside companies outside the USA. Third party phone lines are very unstable also. Some calls are like a party line. UHC does not want you hanging up, but to service the call. I ask the provider to call back (even though I am not suppose to). As far as I am concerned, hearing 20 different conversations on a phone call and HIPAA is suppose to apply, that is unsecure and not safe. that is just my ethics and security talking. Good luck UHC, you are going to need it.
