Thread regarding Citigroup Inc. / Citibank / Citi layoffs

Need more leaders to go

The top leaders have little or NO understanding of complete business. Tech leaders don't have understanding of latest technology. I doubt even they did some coding in their careers ? More BA became tech leaders . They should be in Business groups and not in tech groups.
Lots of inconsistencies in roles. Citi leadership doesn't even know what they are doing. They simply hire , try to fit external talents and throw them within a year or two.
Citi stays in same position where it was 2 years ago only with very minimal changes.
Its a long way to go.

Here are some recommendations:

  1. Shuffle the leadership. Move them to different areas without their favorite persons. You will understand their true strength.
  2. Give time for external candidates to fit in.
  3. Stop vendor consultants hiring
  4. Stop off-shoring blindly without any strategies.

It depends, I seen some people have it really comfortable here, while other members work 60 hour work week. I see some employees take group lunch sessions that go beyond the hour lunch time while others eat at their desk taking a zoom meeting in parallel. It is a huge unbalance and I am not sure the reason. Its either of the two extreme. Some manage to find a balance, but they remain under the radar. The ones that defend Citibank have a reason specific for their own reasons.

Post ID: @nfw+1tUM6ltn If you psychotically really like "working" at Citibank, then why are you posting and reading complaints on a Citibank Complaint Website / Forum ???

You seem very bitter, having a positive attitude can go a long way to helping with your overall satisfaction. Some of us really like it here.
