The top leaders have little or NO understanding of complete business. Tech leaders don't have understanding of latest technology. I doubt even they did some coding in their careers ? More BA became tech leaders . They should be in Business groups and not in tech groups.
Lots of inconsistencies in roles. Citi leadership doesn't even know what they are doing. They simply hire , try to fit external talents and throw them within a year or two.
Citi stays in same position where it was 2 years ago only with very minimal changes.
Its a long way to go.
Here are some recommendations:
- Shuffle the leadership. Move them to different areas without their favorite persons. You will understand their true strength.
- Give time for external candidates to fit in.
- Stop vendor consultants hiring
- Stop off-shoring blindly without any strategies.
