@nc

Think about this. Thomson Learning's revenues were $2.4bb in 2006. Cengage revenues were $1.45bb in 2025. MH has become quite wealthy. Everyone else has lost.

Where do you see that information on Workday?

@fm

At this point, Cengage is just a dog that needs to be put down for humane reasons.

They should probably just rename this portal "Goings" at this point . . .

Greetings,

The Leadership Team has worked closely with managers to analyze data gathered from employee engagement surveys and has determined that posting this information is an inefficient use of resources.

Cengage deeply values the dedication of our workforce, and as we continue to navigate through the adverse headwinds put in place by the current administration. While it is sometimes necessary to reduce headcount to offer students the incredible value for their education dollar, it is neither wise nor prudent to dedicate resources to posting these comings and goings.

In closing, we must remain steadfast and committed to our mission of not only changing the way students learn but also to building new and exciting products, such as the game-changing Cengage Unlimited, which has been declared an unmitigated success since its groundbreaking announcement.

Full Stop!

PS - I am not being deported.

Does that mean we can view employee departure, promotion, etc. on Worday? Or will that option be gone permanently?

It’s just going to Workday, all is well, a great sign that all the layoffs are behinds us. Get back to selling!

Cengage was toast the day Thomson off-loaded it. I'm sure Di-k Harrington still chuckles to himself.

And the comment about execs and Apollo is totally true. MH became rich the day it emerged from bankruptcy #1.

Cengage is Toast. Not for executives and the punks from Apollo, the will get paid, but for the rank and file employees who made this a once decent company. shame.

“Beginning July 21, we will no longer update the Comings & Goings section on the Intranet. All employee information is now managed in Workday. By the end of August, this section will be fully removed. Please use Workday to access the latest employee updates going forward.“

Why so secretive, cengage? Have we shamed you into hiding your incompetence and panic at the thought of being held accountable for your lies and mistakes? So much for transparency. CREDO! ETHICS!
