@mz seriously? In this age of gen alpha ,z lingo you are finding English mistakes in this forum? Because of the English mistakes did you not get the point? Is that your understanding level? Or you are just happy that you still have the job and we lost so came to have some fun? Get a life dude. no wonder that Citi is keep on laying off as it's laying off the competent one leaving the incompetent one

I too can feel it, trust me being laid off wasn't the pain,every day going to office (or login) was a mental torture, every day after office I will be mentally exhausted and try figuring out how to get rid of this situation, I tried internal and cleared but was blocked by my manager even though my rating was 2 last year , don't ask me how because I did not know, got to know this from one of the interviewer who obviously couldn't disclose the reason, tried to reach higher management who appreciated but was actually supported my boss at the end (as I was laid off) , it feels like a defeat to see my incompetent team members ,less performer whom I used to guide (I am not assuming in meetings I have been asked to help them with the initiatives I took for my project, mostly for some planned kt) are still have job but I'm out, it's depressing not the fact of losing it,the fact that my guard and we-pon were snatched wrongfully and been shot while I had all the capabilities of putting down the opposition. I know no point of venting out here where the ceo itself blocking someone more deserving what's the point..whoever in similar position let's try to heal ourselves from this.

Yes , I am an Indian and can tell you it's not only about ethnicity, it's even more deeper (province preference) , but above all, till you are tamed to do those bullsh-t ,it's fine because it's easy for them to get rid of you in this situation and in normal situation you are not threat, but if you want to bring change (which is above their intelligence/ comfort level) they'll take extra effort to cut you.
