Thread regarding Allscripts layoffs

7/30 is here!

Have done everything to shore up the stock price to $7.40 to hedge against a sharp decline... good job so far... now have to either announce spinoff of a unit for a healthy amount or spin some message to survive.

Your response or I say Allscripts propaganda spew is just that. You refer to the monies "stolen" as missed. Leadership took what was rightfully someone else's to pay themselves and stakeholders. That is stealing.
Your corporate spin on how to cope with leadership stealing is to decrease the monies you will need during retirement.

Why not recommend cancelling healthcare "contribution" since the current deductable is equivalent to a major surgery...

Honey..you are not playing with a newbie...I attempt to advance Allscripts each day I work... Regardless of the leadership roadblocks in the way.. until I find a new position in a successful company I only pretend to listen to the spew leadership flushes out.

And how can salaries be said to be restored if they don't back pay? Without back pay you still are being paid less annually. :)

To: @mquy+16cY3OgY: I get your point. I would also love to have the missed salary restored, but I guess I was not expecting that. Not to say I think that is fair or right, but they never promised the so-called "stolen salary" would be repaid in the beginning so I just assumed it would not be. I was actually quite surprised when RP/PB commented that it was being considered in the last town hall. Again, I am not agreeing that I feel this is fair and I could certainly use the money. I lessened my retirement contribution to help compensate for the difference and would love to put that additional money in my retirement if we get it. One thing for sure, we have been cheated. They paid bonuses out at the same time they reduced our salaries and while that may be a different bucket of money, I am sure there could have been a different solution. They always make sure they those at the top, get their money first. I would love to see them make it on my salary; kids in college; mortgage, etc. Good thing I am a saver. I will never see a million $ in a year, but that does not mean I do not count or that I don't contribute my fair share of worth to the company.

Hoping that 9/1 date is accurate and hoping, even more. that I will be here to see that they can keep their promise.

If you actually worked at Allscripts you would know that salaries are being restored effective 9/1/2020.

2 things.

Keep reaching out your leadership command chain weekly. NEVER let then believe you have accepted that action. By your continuing to work there with cut salary's. You send the message you have nothing but blind obedience.

  1. Find another job...actually don't talk about it do it... Then as they cut your salary you cut the remaining with out any notice...

Nothing more should be expected.

Glenn sells his for $18.5 billion. That’s 15 times the best stock price of ours in one year. Meanwhile pb rp KLAS run allsh*t to the ground.

Just chiming in to say thanks to PB and the "leadership" team. I busted my a– in 2019, working 14 hour days for months across multiple timezones to deliver a project that "leadership" then pulled the plug on, putting them another several years behind. The layoff was exactly what I needed to quit procrastinating that 'things would get better at AS' and find another job. Since then, my new gig is something that I 100% believe in, and is demonstrably improving patient health. Oh, and their stock as gone up nearly 4x since I started.

You can’t take this thread or website seriously when it’s all biased, jilted, fired, and laid off employees. You need multiple viewpoints to have a serious discord.

With how much you guys b$&ch and moan I’d fire your candy asses too!! In fact, I’m saying it too, You’re Fired (Donald Trump voice)!

It is your own doing if you continue to work at allscripts. You can b–ch all like but in the end it is your decision to allow management to reach into your pockets and steal from you and your love ones.

You do your job and earn your salary. It is a fair trade and nobody you should feel thankful for that!

That’s great that salaries are being restored. Many companies did not do that, so maybe people will stop complaining now. As for merit increases, they never should promised any this year. They are never a guarantee. They’ll probably go into effect next year and skip next year unless the company is doing well.

You’re employed. Your salaries are returning to normal so now is the time to be thankful and do your job or search for greener pastures.

Maybe they should’ve kept Glen on board a little longer. Livongo announced a merger with Teladoc today, giving him millions more. Would’ve been nice to have more of a visionary who maybe could’ve even sold the company instead of turning it to sh-t that has no respect at all In the market

I lost about 18k salary because of the paycut. If we estimate about 4000 employees taking the paycut, we contributed about 72 million dollars to Allscripts. Good job PB!

Some good news: Announcement today that salaries will be restored in Sept.
Not so good news: Merit raises for 2020 are still on hold and they are evaluating same for 2021.

Everyone should’ve have email from PB.

I think that, despite the inherent disadvantage of dealing with a pay cut, the fact that they're trying to keep domestic labor employed is admirable. Especially considering how a lot of other multinationals are dealing with this pandemic.

It sure beats trying to navigate the idiocy of what's been done to our unemployment system by the mo–ns-in-charge.

PB said back in April when they made cuts they hoped to have them reinstated before end of the year. You have two more quarters to go and I wouldn’t hold your breath.

One decent quarter doesn’t erase all the problems. Wait and see how Q3 pans out before you start asking. He “hoped” doesn’t mean it’s ever a promise or guarantee.

Layoffs for August are still coming

Post ID: @5jhb+16cY3OgY

I don’t believe there would be any layoffs in the short term, the company did well last quarter contrary to all the expectations from the haters. If Allscripts is to deliver to its clients, it can’t afford to cut any more employees. Time to bounce back and rock on!

President Trump is signing an Executive Order to create a policy where Federal agencies will focus on United States labor in lucrative Federal contracts.

It would be unfair for Federal employers to replace perfectly qualified Americans with workers from other countries.

The Executive Order will require all Federal agencies to complete an internal audit and assess whether they are in compliance with the requirement that only United States citizens and nationals are appointed to the competitive service.

The Department of Labor will also finalize guidance to prevent H-1B employers from moving H-1B workers to other employers’ job sites to displace American workers

AS has been robbing Peter to pay Paul for years. They've become very good at reorging and moving assets/debt around so the optics appear good. I wouldn't invest 1 dime in this Company. They're existing on borrowed time and it's running out.

Just call DOS and report that this company built its software in other country. It is a security thread to US national interest. In addition, Allscripts should not qualify for any government COVID-19 incentives because of the outsourcing.

Unless the State Department is run by Clinton again, the US Gov would be dumb to buy anything from this company. They failed with the DoD proposal a while back. I can’t see that they’ll do any better on this venture. Just wait til the government auditors hear about the fraud from their last company acquisition or the piles of lawsuits.

Allscripts does not have enough development staff left to handle the clients they have let alone a new government contract. And government contracts do not like offshoring.

The DOS contract is significant. A cloud, global installation with a 9 figure contract to go with it.

Most of the do called profits comes from our pay cut - pennies from the hardworking employees’ sacrifice. And that was not even mentioned in the investor call. Instead they are bluffing how good their management work are. What a shame, PB! When you pocket your millions, did you feel ashamed of yourself?

From the Allscripts earnings call, following the posting Q2 results that sent shares up 19% on Friday:

The $365 million sales price of EPSi to Strata Decision Technology represents 7.5 times trailing 12-month revenue at 18.5 times adjusted EBITDA.
The company sold no new Sunrise systems, although some existing customers extended their agreements.
Allscripts will migrate the 450-clinician US Department of State medical units to a cloud-based version of TouchWorks and FollowMyHealth.
CarePort is managing 40% of post-acute transitions in the US, with 18 million referrals per year.
Allscripts says that while lower patient volumes and the DoJ settlement caused Q2 revenue to drop year over year, those headwinds will have smaller impact going forward.
The company says that while it isn’t actively considering selling other parts of “the portfolio,” its data analysis and care coordination systems do more business outside the Allscripts EHR customer base and could stand on their own.
Pressed by an analyst who observed that the company boosted its quarterly margin by cutting R&D to a level lower than that of competitors such as Epic, Allscripts says it moved work to its offshore employees and downsized its project management offices.

A good reason AHS had a positive earnings number is because it cut your salary to the bone. Although mgt will still get stock grants, salaries cannot go back to normal, as it will put AHS back in the RED.

The dont be a baby comment is from a mgt mole.

New defense contracts, really? That's just switching US DOS 450-clinicians to a cloud-based version of TW and FMH (whenever that is viable).
