Thread regarding Thomson Reuters layoffs

Friend needs advice

Friend of mine works in tax sales at TR. She is doing very well this year but the team could be eliminated end of year. Should she stick it out til the end and maximize comp but risk getting layoff? Or leave sooner?

In response to the TSR @muf+1bWmIVQL - word is they are training Manila reps for tech support and figuring out how to get around the IRS pub that’s kept you safe. Tax TSRs to be replaced by TSRs from Legal. Somehow this means we’re customer obsessed though?

As a TSR for several of the Thomson Reuters software (ACS, FCS, WEB) I am curious as to if this would also affect our side. Haven't heard anything about looking layoffs department wide, but that doesn't mean they aren't planning it.
