Starting a new thread to keep track of ETIPS layoffs. Layoffs coming for legacy applications, which application / department are you working with? Any layoff rumors? I am with a legacy CRM and we have no work. Pretty sure layoff are coming based on the way my manager is behaving... No meetings , no communication lately.

If ETIPS completely went away in one big bang, we'd not only not miss it we'd be better off

It's a sh-t show, brace yourself if you are in ETIPS. Too many toxic Managers, way too many contractors doing low quality work, off shore does not even understand the concept of quality, create sloppy mess n more mess to fix that mess. This department is a doomed unless they revamp starting with the sloppy Accenture and Sapient contractors su-king out money dry leaving no room for bonus funds and employee development.
@nc they have lot of useless people there. Lot of toxic female Managers, POs. I don't want to name any names but there are people whose only job is to push back and requests made by other teams and then make a big production out of one small change. The Amazon connect work they are doing is a nightmare and being run by brats and id--ts that have no idea. I am with reporting team and they have sc--wed up everything. Business will realize the sh-t once migrations are done and all metrics are down or invisible
@n8 I cannot, a agree but the way it's being done, the political ans lies is what makes it so awful. This place is SO TOXIC. I saw this coming so I am already interviewing outside and about to move out.
@OP I've heard from one source, who is pretty reliable, that the end of this month there will be another RIF in ETIPS. Maybe true, still looking to validate. I'm in UHC product now but I have a lot of friends there who are awesome. The ETIPS division itself is a waste of time, but that doesn't mean there aren't some skilled people there.
@mr can you blame them? Why have multiple old tools that all do the same thing when you can have one modern tool that requires less support
@a2 it's a CRM that's going to be migrated to more modern ones. The CRM I support was built in house in a company that was acquired by Optum, now they are trying to merge it with their CRM and layoff legacy CRM workers so they can save millions each year.
Any news on etips upcoming reorg ?
