Thread regarding NCR Corp. layoffs

Layoffs Dec 7 for US

Managers were given training today on how to lay off their employees (including a script to use) and are expected to do the layoffs tomorrow. More coming worldwide, but dates will differ due to laws being different depending on the country.

Happy Holidays from NCR Voyix!

This is normal for NCR. Anyone who's been around that company for more than a year those that layoffs are normal. The fact that it hit their full-time employees is a sign that it's worse than usual. Usually they hire a bunch of 6 month temp to perms and promise them a full-time position. Then when the end of the year comes, they just ”oops, sorry about that. We didn't get the budget for your position even though we promise that we had the opening when you accepted the offer.”

It’s just very rube and disrespectful, walked in the office in the morning being rushed to a meeting room and told you were laid off. Had to clean up your desk and have someone walk you out. No PTO payout or nothing and HR ghosted me for every email I sent. What a great company

All of the employees that were let go were US based. That is usually the case with all Ncr layoffs. US employees that remain take this as a hint and start looking already. It’s much easier to find a job when you already have one. That day is not far when there will be 0 US employees left. Been interviewing and as soon as i have an offer won’t be looking back.

I don't give my respect to this company (NCR). I only spent 2 months before they let me go. They should not have posted a job opening 2 or 3 months ago if they plan to cut people.

I was laid off yesterday after a little over 3 years at NCR. Nothing like walking in and leaving 15 minutes later. Anyways... that place is going down hill! There are a lot of great people in Voyix, but none of them are in real leadership roles. Get out while you can because management really doesn't not care about you as a person at all.

I know there were about 115 managers invited to the layoff training meeting, and many had multiple people to let go

Definitely some US layoffs 12/7.
Unsure how many, but seemed like 10%? Depending on team 20%?
Spanning all different levels VP to grade 10. Probably another exodus when March bonus hits. We’ll see how reorg plays out next week.

14 years for me, with great success and with reviews of 4 and 5, never below a 3. It may have something to do with age, but that is hard to prove. I saw the list of job titles (no names shown) and they were from all over the company-IT, Product management, product owners, UX designers, software engineers, and more. A range of job titles and levels.

Wasn’t it a year ago when the GHQ propaganda problem was going full tilt with employees who couldn’t say enough wonderful things about NCR culture and how incredibly fortunate they were to have recently joined NCR?
Then the ballon drops and champagne with a standing ovation for Mike?
Wonder how many of those in attendance and applauding are no longer here.

Just got let go after 3 years here at NCR. I'm a grade 10 so I didn't even qualify for the split bonus. :-( Merry Friggin' Christmas

A Friend who worked at GHQ for a number of years recently resigned. Best decision ever! Could see very clearly where things are heading. Core values and mission statements do not align with culture. Leaders treat people as resources to used-not valued or appreciated.
Be courageous !
Everyone deserves to work culture that values your contributions, provides opportunities for growth, provides the tools to be innovative and create new products with like minded colleagues.

I'm so sorry to hear this for you all.
Unfortunately, no, TCR Tyler isn't hiring at this time. I do know of a couple restaurant chains that are looking for in house IT. I'd be happy to forward your resumes over if you'd like to send them to me. Positions would be on-site in Dallas, TX and Tyler, TX.

Well over fifteen years and got RIF’d yesterday. My eyes have been opened now and I understand fully why the younger generation job hops. Loyalty and dedication mean nothing anymore in corporate America.

No, looking for an IT Analyst for a multi-location restaurant. Would need to live in East Texas. Can offer a relocation package.

Laid off as well, Voyix side. It's so generous of them to do this with Christmas around the corner too. It's pretty obvious at this point that they're looking to weed out all U.S. employees, one way or another. Don't think I've seen a single Serb/Bosnian employee get cut during these RIF sessions in the past few years. Just a garbage-tier company, through and through

I was laid off today after 10 years. Should've seen it coming.. but they told us we were safe the rest of the year. Even promised me a raise in January.

I have heard a dozen or so names, some at AED (Shiloh) and CSMs at GHQ. Also a couple people in the technology area but not sure their titles. There were some at Atleos but haven’t heard names.

How were they possibly going to fit everyone in one building? They were always planning to phook us over.

Layoffs before Christmas is normal for NCR, but this year was exceptionally shitey.

Hands on people have been getting replaced with people in India. Apparently we have people in Cebu again. Surely there will be 5 new Cebu employees for ever 1 US layoff. The ATL building is about to be empty.

@mik+1pXdB3Lg, this is incorrect. There were several US layoffs this year where hands on people were blind sided. The skeleton crew is dust now. Technical managers were laid off. Managers who have been here 10+ years were laid off. Developers were laid off.

No one is safe.

For office personnel, Dundee Atleos hub and Serbia too. All remote people who have worked for NCR quite a long time will be mostly replaced. Its easy and cheaper. Do not let this ruin your life. It will not be easy but in the end it might be a blessing.

Been saying this for the past year and was heavily downvoted for stating the freaking obvious. IF YOU ARE WHITE COLLAR NCR VOYIX OR ATLEOS YOUR JOB CAN BE DONE IN ANOTHER PART OF THE WORLD IN ANOTHER OFFICE.
If you are hands-on tech, they cannot replace you with someone remotely.
It was always going to be office/remote layoffs.
Voyix is hiring hands on CE’s if anyone wants those positions, but the pay will su-k, the hours will su-k, and you won’t have Holidays off or be able to attend lavish office parties. The party is over.

And it’s NCR’s customers that are suffering! Too many teams and no one knows what the he-l they are doing.
