Thanks for the clarification. But legacy Raytheon (by law) are getting a much better severance package than PW, Collins, etc.
That's another way of saying "even through Corporate say we are all in this together, in a merger of equals, Raytheon employees get their 2020 raises, but UTC employees can go take a back-seat."
We had our merit discussions in February and received our merit increases in March like it’s done every year, in the former Raytheon company. You sound a bit ridiculous to think they can/should reverse our raises under this new company.
"They are not building goodwill, and will be causing a personal/emotional divide in the company with these kind of moves."
I love this childish mentality.
UTC = RTX. The rest of us are all just OWNED by RTX - that "all in this together BS" is just the koolaid Kumbaya they sell you to make you feel like you wont get screwed in the end.
Looks like you bought it.
Guarantee the only jobs that matter and that are safe are the corporate exec ones that made their move plans before we knew about the merger. Collins, P&W, RI&S & RM&D are all just assets to be sold..
It's not relevant who said it. All execs have built-in psychopathic tendencies anyway, so it could've been anyone. This site was predicting it anyway, so congratulations you're right.
The point is it is happening.
The reasons are several, but the big one is Collins is leveraged in the Commerical Market and Raytheon is not. Defense contracting is still humming along regardless of the pandemic, or merger. However, bear in mind the government is leveraged pretty heavily in tax cuts, and entitlement hands outs because of the pandemic. I'll give you one guess where that money is going to come from.
Looking into my crystal 8-ball to the future the DOD budget is going to be significantly impacted.
How will the layoffs effect Pratt & Whiney in Columbus, Georgia? I hope this has taught people what happens when they waste their vote on a smelly reality star!
the president of collins.

As a P&W employee, there's no way I would know who he is.
It would have been helpful to say who he was in the OP.

Who at Collins got the axe? Manufacturing?
Who is Steve Timm?
