Thread regarding State Street Corp. layoffs

Are they trying in any other way?

I mean, did it ever cross their minds to try to keep some jobs and some people?

From what I've noticed so far, their business strategy equals cuts, putting pressure on people to leave on their own and that’s it. Such a strategy can be implemented by anyone, not much knowledge is needed for such management.

It would be interesting to see how many client's have left State Street.
I know someone who went to India to train our replacements. They went as a small team and I cannot recall what we were being told at the time. I actually was asked about going to India but had some personal obligation's that were my priority. I will always miss working at State Street since it is one of the best companies that I ever worked for. Unfortunately, State Street doesn't care about your personal growth and opportunities which is a completely different philosophy than in the past.

I've worked in finance that calculated the cuts. To those bbh employee who think they have a chance of surviving. state street has a 80/20 rule, 80 percent of new headcount is in India. Period.

You must be a new worker since you seem to have no idea about the company.

State Stree has been laying off workers since 2005

They been outsourcing jobs since 2005

They been using H1B workers and Temps since 2005

Their motto is " Reduce costs by any means

That is why they are willing to put of with the low quality of work being done

When I worked there before this cost cutting madness, the rule was clients will be given
100% quality work nothing less.

Our goal is to keep our clients happy

We have discussed the so-called strategy implemented for the last several years by the management team at numerous times on this site. They only know cut cut cut. The quality of the work suffers. The remaining staff burns out. They do not care. The decision to cut is made to benefit a hand full of executives at the top of the company. it is not made with either the working staff or customers in mind. Sad but true.
