They brought him in from entirely different parts. No clue about our field. But that does not prevent him from micromanaging. It’s infuriating. We lose so much energy on a daily basis trying to clue him in, so we don’t sc--w up something and maybe, god help us, have him off our backs so we can do our job properly. He is literally running interference.

All about green checks on the dashboard and bonuses. Everything else is just window dressing. Customer service and employee’s are at the bottom, an expense.
When things don't go your way, complain about your manager.

The Stink is a POS.
Sadly the managers are scrambling like crazy to keep their jobs after all the layoffs. So I would try to cut them some slack. They don't have union protection. And I know with mobility they are honestly all looking for better jobs while stressed and fighting to stay employees till they find something. Its gotten that bad
Maybe it’s you?

Don't train your manager
Not surprising, they replaced the AD's and the director in my dept with people that have no clue and no experience with what we do. We are constantly training the boss.
manager maybe clueless, but pushes back on RTO is fine by me. #HomeBound.
So you work directly for the Stink, eh!
Most managers do not have a clue about details or interest. Just enough to make a subjective view of your "performance" and pass information up a rung. Its how they look and your part in the corporate gear perception game. Just be thankful you do not have to deal with a sociopath
If you like the manager, you help.
Don’t like the manager, only give them the bare info.
Won’t be around long.
