We work for one company, Retail can't function without IT yet every year they get 30% - 50% more bonus payout. This year will be an even bigger slap in the face with IT getting less than half of Retail along with a measly 2% merit increase, promotions canceled, American IT jobs displaced to India, and layoffs in Q1. Why pretend RTO is for collaboration? It just makes leadership look dishonest.

Have merit increases every been over 2%?
Write your own ticket out by updating a LinkedIn and your resume. IT professionals can make 20%+ more at a company that is not dying and has growth, stock options, meaningful bonuses etc. get out now on your terms vs theirs
The goals is to get you to leave. They already have a full staff in India ready to take over. End game is saving money and IT/Massachusetts salaries are not it.
@OP If collaboration were that important then they would make all senior leadership move to Massachusetts.
