Ain't that the truth. Here train my people for me. Get numbers for me. Deal with abusive LDs who don't know CVS or IT and don't even meet with their staff.
A Good ED would look two level below and two levels above, the people two levels below take the hit.
@j1+1jjq98vre lol as if EDs “take the hit.” In this toxic culture, every level blames the one below. And so junior managers end up having more responsibility and accountability than these fools at the top.
Good point. Can't trust LDs to report since they lie about what's really going on to the EDs and undermine your staff.
Who's going to inform the VPs about everything going on under the ED if you cut all the EDs? Surely you can't expect the LDs to all report directly to VPs. VPs aren't going to accept doubling or tripling their direct report size like that. Nope.
EDs focus on ensuring operations are running smoothly, fronting all the top line noise from their staff, dealing with budgets, creating and executing on strategy and ensuring they know what’s going on at a level that can speak to ELT about. ensuring their team is well trained and capable of doing the work since the ED can’t do it. and if you fail, guess what, the ED takes the hit! it’s apparent you’re not ready for that level if you cannot comprehend the amount of work and responsibility someone has at that level.
Most will be gone soon. Hiring your friends only goes so far, especially when they are drunks and abusing the people underneath you cursing, screaming, gossiping.
We found him! Captain Obvious has been found! Look everyone! He's right here!
They are useless in my opinion. A layer of mgt that brings almost zero value to the organization.
Its because they are too busy interviewing for a new position
