I could get more comfortable betting my career and families future on IFS if the company would explain the key checkpoints and milestones to the strategy.
At least that way we could know if the 'moonshot' is on track or if the thing is stalled and flipping like SpaceX before the self detonate circuit went off.
Some ideas: IP block availability (e.g. ARM,...), tools availability (top ten from TSMC would be a good start), benchmark TSMC costs and show where we are vs. them, customer number and ramp. Big design wins (excluding US defense department), competitive MIPs/Watt/MM data.
If there was some transparency maybe the employees would be willing to rally around the mission. Right now it just seems like a Sci Fi pulp fiction tail. Maybe Stu Pann, the new leader of the strategy can stand up at BU meeting and explain things a bit?
