It was tone deaf for Mr. MW to mention he is taking a pay cut, got a “3” ranking back in the day, and that he (Rafika the baboon) hit us over the head (Simba the lion) and to get over it. You cut his pay 90% and he still makes millions o dolars man. This was the man’s poorest performance yet on stage and absolutely confusing to us down in the company. For us little guys, our 2% raise relative to inflation is an insult given what the company is giving back to investors in dividends and buybacks and a CIP below 1.0 is an insult given our financial performance and the lack of transparency throughout the year on the “rules of the game”. I also note that when prices are above plan we “normalize” down prices when they consider CIP performance but when it is under plan they always use it as an explainer for lower CIPs. Cra&y way to treat yo employees. I have no trust in the leadership of this company.

Threw company retreats called Summer Camp where he took psychedelic mushrooms and carried around a water g-n filled with vodka. Laid off employees to cut costs and then immediately had a member of Run-DMC enter the room to entertain the remaining staff who were treated to tequila shots. Trademarked the word “We” and made the company pay him to license it. Told people that his plan was to be president of the world, as well as the world’s first trillionaire.

That’s not what he said or how it came across. MW was building off NH comment about Ted Lasso (which was not entirely clear), and used a different reference (Lion King) to talk about focusing on what lies ahead.
We were not punished with a low CIP. And nobody knows if their pay raise is lousy or good at this point. So the haters will hate no matter what. But there’s nothing to this silly post and comments that people are being mistreated.
MW quoted the scene in The Lion King when Rafiki hits Simba over the head with a stick and says he should forget about it because it’s in the past. Basically telling all of us to forget being punished with a low CIP and a lousy pay raise because it’s in the past and to focus on 2024 instead. Really lousy analogy and very appropriate way to describe how he is treating people in this organization.
