Thread regarding SAP layoffs

How did we get conditioned to accept illegal age discrimination?

We have been conditioned to accept age discrimination which is illegal in the U.S. How did this happen?

https://www.eeoc.gov/age-discrimination

Summary of law:

"Age Discrimination & Work Situations:

The law prohibits discrimination in any aspect of employment, including hiring, firing, pay, job assignments, promotions, layoff, training, benefits, and any other term or condition of employment."

I am not filled with hate. You and the left are. You are self loathing, unhappy, people. You despise joy and you hate seeing happy people. You want to divide everyone, in every way possible. The more hate filled people that can swell your ranks, the better.

If you think GenZ, as an example, respects old people, you are deluded. They are so full of entitlement, they complain about what things cost, like houses. They see people who worked a lifetime to build something and they want that for themselves. They don't even want to work 40 hours a week. They view the war on white people as their crusade. That and denigrating women to wearing a costume, or just saying they are a woman. Men competing in women's sports to make themselves feel like less of a failure. Women trumpeting the smallest thing they do so they can say they are as good as men. When was the last time you heard a man say, this is the first time a man did this. It is no wonder old people would be under attack. GenZ wants everything they have. How many people who have time to scream and protest and think they need to change their gender to be happy, are living with or supported by their parents. No job, contribute nothing, except noise and division.

I don't blame anyone for anything. I earned everything I have through hard work and perseverance. Don't put your own self worth and values on me. I don't hate anyone. I don't even hate the left, I just think they are delusional, self serving, groupthink minded people who are destroying the world. I wish they could see the joy that life has to offer, but instead, they are the ones destroying it.

The right is not destroying the world, or the country. But everywhere you see the left in charge of anything, that is destruction. Cities, ruined. The nation, overwhelmed in debt. Inflation, rampant. Costs, overrunning anyone except the rich. The government spends trillions and nothing changes, nothing gets done. That is progress?

And yes, white people should speak out about racism against them. As should the Jews. Israel gets attacked and defends itself, and people scream they shouldn't have done anything. Except, white people and Jews have one thing going for them - they don't like playing the victim (except liberals, they excel at it, it's their shield).

And yes, SAP like many other companies, is moving away from hiring white men, and white people in general. Even as a German company. Check the demographics of the company and get back to me. Or better yet, check the demographics of who is laid off and get back to me.

I don't fault you for your delusion and illusion. You are merely one amongst so many that have joined this army of destruction. That wants a world divided. If the U.S. is divided, does that make it a better place? Where people cannot speak their true mind because an army of cancel culture will attack them and want to destroy their very existence. Look at what they did to Trump, and he still persevered. They are doing everything in their power to prevent the right from taking over, and still the right perseveres. The left hates that. They cannot abide that this could possibly be happening. They would prefer a puppet and a mo--n run the country and ruin it, then allow anyone with a plan, who could actually make changes. They will label people, you do it too. Any voice of opposition, silenced. That is the country you want? The companies you want to work for?

Even this discussion. One voice, and the haters line up. One voice of opposition, and the vitriol spews forth. I am guessing you are filled with satisfaction, the rightness of yourself despite the leftness of your being.

Trust you? What a joke. But I don't hate you. At the end of the day, I truly feel sorry for you.

So easy to predict. Any white person who speaks out is a Na-i, and wears a MAGA hat. Not sure about the tiki torch but by your rules, that's appropriation. Please apologize to the Polynesians for stealing their culture.

And wishing someone unemployment, just shows your true colors. Your own personal version of cancel culture.

You are so brave. It's truly inspirational. To vomiting.

Bravo! Well said!

Now... goosestep away into the night with your tiki torch and your MAGA hat.

Oh. And enjoy unemployment.

Sounds as if you are triggered. The original post was that in today's world, it has become OK to discriminate against any group that groupthink decides is OK. Case in point - the majority of people dying from covid were older people, and obese people. How many older people died in New York state alone as it ravaged retirement homes? But, did you see an outrage about it? Nope. Why? Because New York is a leftist state and the nation was divided between how many people died in California and New York versus Florida and Texas.

Now, fast forward. With DEI, and the left fully intent on dividing the nation and the world, white people, and yes white men, are fully discriminated against. Post here if you do get laid off (and I hope you don't) and how the job market is for you. Good luck getting a job as an older white man.

I could list out quotas, I could list out DEI tactics, I could talk about schools conditioning children to believe white people are evil and racist, I could post endless links, but if you aren't aware of this by now, then just Google it and read about the countless cases where white people are now discriminated against. All in the name of social justice. And as you can see, when you bring it up, you are a racist. A radical right winger who must love Trump and thought January 6th should be a national holiday with Trump being the only face on Mount Rushmore (to be renamed Mount Trumpmore).

White women (liberals usually) dodge around this by throwing themselves on their sword of acknowledging their privilege, and catering, virtue signaling, all of that, anything to avoid being associated with their much more evil white counterparts. And of course being women. And fully embracing the trans movement that essentially says anyone can be a woman if they simply announce it.

So is it any surprise that if the older generation is deemed expendable that this would happen? If you are surprised, then just pay more attention to what is happening around you. Or don't. Vote with the liberals and then cry from your cell of persecution. Your choice.

@1tim+1rZ3XugE ...

So... layoffs across all regions, across multiple ethnic groups, across both genders... that are, admittedly, focusing on us old fu--s... and you immediately go to how white men (of which I am one) are discriminated against...

And you point a finger and yell "triggered"????

I see, so if a group calls out that they are being discriminated against, they are racist and part of a hate group. Got it. Might want to crawl back into your liberal echo chamber, the real world is a scary place for your triggered self!

  1. When share price rules all - even with fake pump with buybacks - everyone has accepted it as cost as business
  2. When a company does not care about product quality or customers - just fire the experts

In this current world we live in, groupthink overrides any laws. Its a dangerous and confusing time to live in.

If the group says "Old People=Bad", then it is true. Truth is relative in this time.

@wot+1rZ3XugE of course, when you consider the current state of affairs the voluntary option is the lesser of two evils… a kinder, gentler layoff.

So, the voluntary package is, in itself, hypocrisy. “Here’s a g-n to your head… congratulations… thanks for your service… half your adult life for our company? LOL”.

@dbs+1rZ3XugE is there something called HR?

Nope! They renamed it “People and Culture”. The latter no longer exists (If it ever did)! The former? Give it a couple of years and our CFO will have it down to 50% of the current number.

Callous bunch of muthas!

There is nothing illegal here. The Age Discrimination in Employment Act specifically allows voluntary early retirement incentive plans.

The same way it's OK to discriminate against white people, in particular white men, in today's world. Selective racism, selective prejudice, totally fine, as long as the groupthink tells you it is OK to do so

HR will turn the blind eye protecting and defending whatever discrimination top management trickles down - its cheaper to settle lawsuits

A question like this would never see the daylight in any Q&A with L1-L3

It also happens because lots of useful id--ts are “Proud” to work for SAP even after this mess - board giving themselves huge bonuses while giving peanuts to IC and people still posting pictures with the child ceo on linkedin like nothing is happening around them.

Also super normal having a former Saint Leon Rots mayor befriending HP to push his son as a SAP’s next leader - dude never worked a day on his life - CK always worked in a protected fantasy world at SAP and it shows.

So I really don’t what to do besides pinching myself as I slowly accept the SAP culture of 2000s and 2010s died completely
