Thread regarding VMware layoffs

Just received my termination notice (US)

Can't find my link for the severance package in the integration portal as the letter stated though. I'm sorry to all my fellow colleagues who are receiving these now. Best of luck.

This termination process is clearly being managed with the same level of skills applied to the VMW acquisition that took 18 months to complete. Poor communication.

I sent an email to HR, and they added a second widget on my portal. I previously only had the migration widget. Now there is an HR widget, and it has all related info to the layoff that I need.

@ @ldt+1pNhVoDr

They still owe us commissions on deals already closed. I'm expecting a decent commission in December although I too will be on "paid leave" by then.

Looks like the only info related to severance is the existing VMware severance policy, and the obligatory mention of a "generous" offer in the termination letter itself. I'm not inclined to sign anything until I see the numbers that apply to me personally.

Is it 2 months of severance after Jan 26? And is the pay until Jan 26 salary only ? (Sales person here)

Yes I believe so. It will be 2 months base + 1 week for every year worked at VMware upto 12 weeks max

The pay till Jan 26th will be base salary only.

Just generic info about the VMw severance package. What kind of a f$&*!d up termination is this? Oh, yeah - it's Broadcom.

How about specifics??

I too got my termination notice. I am based in US California. Essentially last day is today but officially due to WARN , my last day will be Jan 26. So will be "Paid Leave" till Jan 26th essentially. Post that its the same severance as mentioned in the VMware Severance document.
You will need to log out and log back in the Integration portal to see the HR portal widget show up. Once you go in HR Portal, go to FAQs and search for Severance...you will see same VMware severance document linked.
Hope this helps....Best of luck folks! Keep your head high.

Received termination. No details available in the portal. It’s just same old info.

Here is a link to the US Published Severance Policy, still available (inside) on source.

Same. I have no link to the Integration Portal either, so no clue when health insurance ends, or how much severance I get.

I can't find my severance information either after resetting password, re-authenticating log-in, etc. I sent an email to BC Communications alias.

I cannot find the link to the severance either. If anyone has some guidance, would love some to help point me in the right direction. Thanks
