Thread regarding Sears layoffs

Why so many Hometown Sears closing at once?

If these stores are independently owned, why would so many stores be closing at once? I get the lack of merchandise, although our store is getting more merchandise than we can keep up with at this point.

White people don’t shop anymore they do everything online.

You are getting more inventory because that's what they do. Where they have excess inventory they send it to closing stores to liquidate.

So is that why my Sears is constantly full of Mexicans? Latin Americans love Sears for some reason.

@lar+1h0ZJDDW Being affiliated with Transformco pretty much is a guarantee they will be unprofitable.

@rxa+1h0ZJDDW that doesn't explain the continuing success of Sears in Mexico.

Sears was a middle-class white peoples brand of yesteryear. 60 million recently arrived migrants have no need for nostalgia.

Seems like the contracts with the owners allow Transform to determin if they are profitable enough to remain open. But how can a store be profitable if they are not supplied stock? Some will also be company owned stores as not all are franchises.
