For the stores that are not open, Does anyone know why we had to take a leave of absence?

So you can file for unemployment under reduced hours due to Covid-19

Apply for unemployment it's a national emergency as well as a state emergency. All unemployment rules are waved.your will get the unemployment with out all the hassles that go with it.

I was told we can draw unemployment for up to 4 months or until we are called back to work when this virus crisis ends. My guess is we'll be called back to liquidate the store, which won't take long as the stock is extremely low.

Deposit was less than $1000 today so now you see why they had to lighten the load. They really cannot afford to be open but are probably getting subsidies because of Coronovirus.

@kyz+14dy9D0L They are doing it because the company is bleeding super bad for money. The virus has only accelerated this company's demise and they are grasping for straws to keep open.

Our store shut down softlines because of the Coronovirus because non-essential stores had to close. Funny thing is that Walmart hasn't shut down softlines and neither has any other department store so I call BS on Sears for doing that.
